Canada’s #2 ranked mens basketball team completed the weekend sweep of the SFU Clan Saturday night with an 83-69 win at SFU’s West gym. UBC showed thier shooting prowness going 51% from the field and thier athletisism as they completely dominated in the paint  owning the backboards.

The SFU Clan women, ranked #1 in Canada had to pull out all stops as the UBC Thunderbirds took them to the buzzer last night up at SFU. The game featured the awarding of the Barabara Rae Cup to winners from SFU.

The SFU Clan dominated play from the opening whistle out chancing the Lady Bears from Rocky Mountain 23-3 in shots at the goal. The Vancouver Giants keep rolling along; this time it was the Kamloops Blazers, who put up the good fight but were no match on the evening for the Giants, losing 6-4 on Stanley Cup Legends night.

Vancouver won 5-2 Sunday Nov.16th over the visiting Portland Winterhawks. A nice crowd of 9,018 fans watched as Giants favorite Evander Kane kept his points streak alive.
